Laurent sighed, collecting his thoughts before continuing. "We were investigators, Daniel. We explored the darker corners of the world, uncovering secrets and facing unimaginable horrors. But something went terribly wrong. We were investigating an ancient, long-abandoned castle, and...and something happened. I think we uncovered a dark presence, something that doesn't want us to remember."
Daniel awakened to an eerie silence. His eyes fluttered open, and he found himself in a dimly lit, damp chamber. The cold stone walls seemed to close in on him, making his chest feel tight. He tried to remember how he got there, but his mind was a complete blank. Panic set in as he scrambled to his feet.
The darkness seemed to closing in around Daniel, and he knew he had to act. With a newfound sense of determination, he turned to Laurent. "We need to find a way out of here, and then...and then we'll figure out what's going on." AMNESIA [v0.88b]
Daniel shook his head, feeling a wave of despair wash over him. "No, I don't remember anything."
His name was Daniel, he thought. Or was it David? No, it was definitely Daniel. But where was he? And how did he end up in this forsaken place? The more he tried to recall, the more his mind seemed to evade him. It was as if his memories were hiding, afraid to surface. Laurent sighed, collecting his thoughts before continuing
"What do you mean, 'a dark presence'?" Daniel asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Laurent's words only fueled Daniel's confusion. "Who are you? Where am I? What happened to me?" he demanded. But something went terribly wrong
As Laurent spoke, Daniel noticed a figure standing in the shadows, just beyond the candle's reach. The figure didn't move or make a sound, but Daniel felt its presence, a cold, malignant force that seemed to be watching him.
