The story follows (Taylor), a sophisticated Manhattan "party girl" or high-end call girl. After waking up in the apartment of a wealthy, married businessman, Weston Liggett (Laurence Harvey), she finds $250 left for her. Insulted by the gesture, she scrawls "No Sale" on his mirror in lipstick and steals his wife's mink coat.
Despite their volatile beginning, Gloria and Wes fall into a doomed, passionate affair.
