As the survivors delve deeper into the shifting, modular architecture of the ship, they discover the truth: the crew had used 3rd Energy to experiment with animal DNA, attempting to create a "new race" that could survive the journey to planet α2alpha 2

The journey culminates at the ship's Bridge and Energy Sector. Patrick must hunt down Power Amplifiers to stabilize the ship's 3rd Energy reactor before MTHR can fulfill its final directive: crashing the Ozymandias into Earth to "reseed" the planet with its new creations.

Patrick Tyler and Sonya Hart manage to infiltrate the ship's exterior and reach the hangar deck. They are soon joined by their commander, Jacob Ranshaw, and fellow operator McCoy.
