Elementary Season 1 - Episode 23 -

Two years after her presumed murder at the hands of the mastermind Moriarty, (played by Natalie Dormer) is found alive in a secluded manor house. She appears broken, fragile, and suffering from severe PTSD after being held captive by a man she calls "Mr. Stapleton".

Watson, proving her growth as a partner, discovers a rare yellow pigment at the site of Irene's captivity. Her investigation leads to a man named Duane Proctor, but the brothers they encounter seem to have no connection to the kidnapping—and strangely, Irene doesn't recognize them.

Sherlock, overcome with guilt and disbelief, abandons his current investigations to become her sole protector. While he stays by her side at the brownstone, he leaves to handle the detective work alone. The Investigation
