If you are struggling with the "why" behind the math, this is the book to use. It’s less "dense" than Griffith’s (the physics standard) and more student-friendly than Hayt’s. It’s designed to get you through the exam while actually understanding how a microwave or a cell tower works.
Unlike more theoretical texts, Sadiku focuses on real-world tech like waveguides, antennas, and fiber optics. The Verdict Elements of Electromagnetics - Sadiku
The first three chapters are legendary. They provide a crash course in coordinate systems (Cartesian, Cylindrical, Spherical) that serves as the "language" for the rest of the book. If you are struggling with the "why" behind
by Matthew Sadiku is widely considered the "gold standard" for undergraduate engineering students. It strikes a rare balance: it’s mathematically rigorous enough for a physics-heavy field, but clear enough for someone seeing vector calculus for the first time. Why It’s Popular Unlike more theoretical texts, Sadiku focuses on real-world
EM is notoriously hard to visualize. Sadiku uses clean, 3D diagrams to explain things like flux, curl, and wave propagation, which are often impossible to grasp through equations alone. Key Content Pillars
He uses a very structured approach—Theory → Examples → Drill Problems → Summary. This repetitive cycle helps reinforce abstract concepts before you move to the next chapter.
Deep dives into Coulomb’s Law, Gauss’s Law, and boundary conditions.
-01/RW –rackmount version
-01/Wpro – 76 keys version with drive and an extra piano wavetable
-01/WproX – 88 versions weighted, drive and special piano wavetable 10 Mb with some extra sampled piano and more drum PCM waveforms
MAINTENANCE there are 3 common issues I had with 01RW (IC location may be different on keyboard 01)
1-After some years the screen may disappear as well as sound generation. Some bad capacitors leak inside creating corrosion around tracks, some luck there are no custom ICs around, I had to replace these: C85, C29 and C30, C102, C103 and C130. It seems that NOT all series suffer from this problem
2- Display backlight: LCD fades out you have to replace the E-foil, quite easy to do requiring some basic soldering skills.
3- Fd drive may not work, try cleaning the heads with proper liquid solution or usb equivalent.
