You can create ground-truth images of land cover by combining online virtual globe tools with field data.

The GLOBE Program allows citizen scientists to collect and upload data, such as green-down (autumnal changes) and tree height. Gloob Online

Select the date, fill in "Green Down" and "Growing season cycle" (typically 1 for Europe). You can create ground-truth images of land cover

Fill in the leaf state for your trees. Upon success, you will see a green smiley face. To add more data, use the "Create a new one" link. ☁️ Specific Observation Guides (Clouds & Greenings) Fill in the leaf state for your trees

Use the Clouds Resource Library to learn how to identify clouds and upload data, including tutorials and activities for families.

Monitor seasonal changes. Select the earliest date observations began for a tree and fill in the "Leaf State" from the drop-down menu. 🗺️ Additional Resources
