The magic of the Trollwoods responded. Vines began to pulse with a rhythmic green light, weaving themselves into a protective lattice. The ground didn't shake; it shivered with new life. As the melody peaked, the grey ash dissolved into a shower of golden spores, seeding the forest with flowers that bloomed in an instant.
