While left behind, Mulan sees that Shan Yu and several Huns survived the avalanche and are heading for the Imperial City. She rushes to the Capital to warn Shang, but she is ignored because she is a woman. When the Huns capture the Emperor inside the palace, Mulan, Shang, and her fellow soldiers (Yao, Ling, and Chien-Po) use a clever plan to infiltrate the palace.
The Emperor acknowledges Mulan’s bravery, noting that she has saved all of China. He offers her a position on his council, but she chooses to return to her family. Back home, she reunites with her father, who tells her that the greatest honor is having her as his daughter.
