Klaus's subplot actually stole the show for me this time. What did you guys think about the "Old Country" reveal? Was it one of the stronger episodes of Season 17, or a bit of a stretch? What did you guys think about the "Old Country" reveal
A solid episode that plays on the common trope of Americans obsessing over distant heritage. The writers did a great job balancing Steve's earnestness with Stan's pathological need to be impressive. The world-building for their "fake" ancestral home was hilarious, and the Klaus B-plot provided some of the best laughs of the season.
This episode, titled is from Season 17, Episode 18 of the long-running animated sitcom American Dad! (which first aired in September 2022).
