In the The Big Bang Theory episode (S3E17), a simple trip to a garage sale turns into an epic test of friendship when Leonard, Sheldon, Howard, and Raj purchase a $60 box of movie memorabilia. Tucked inside a nondescript bag, they discover a literal treasure: an authentic prop of the One Ring from the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

: Each friend has a different vision for the Ring. Sheldon wants to keep it as a sacred relic, Raj wants to sell it to buy a jet ski, Howard wants to use it to impress women, and Leonard suggests returning it to filmmaker Peter Jackson.
