Eurico, the unpaid apprentice and former pizza delivery guy, sat at a desk that was mostly held together by gum and hope. Their investigation led them through the bizarre, neon-lit underbelly of Lisbon, where monsters lived side-by-side with humans in a state of mutual annoyance. They met a crossdressing Oracle who gave them clues that made less sense than a tax return, and narrowly avoided a car chase that ended with Dog accidentally biting a tire.
A mysterious figure stepped out of the shadows. It was the main bad guy, who proceeded to explain his entire evil plan in a mid-cutscene monologue that lasted longer than the actual mystery.
