Transmit 5.9.0 Apr 2026

Added support for FIDO2 ECDSA-SK and Ed25519-SK key authentication. This allowed users to use physical security keys (like a YubiKey) for SSH connections directly within the app.

Beyond just supporting these keys, version 5.9.0 introduced the ability to generate FIDO2 security keys from within Transmit when an authentication device is plugged in. Transmit 5.9.0

As of early 2026, the current stable version of Transmit is (released February 2026). While 5.9.0 focused on security protocols, later updates have added: SSH Agent Integration: Support for agents like Bitwarden. Added support for FIDO2 ECDSA-SK and Ed25519-SK key
