World Of: Goo
They only knew that they had built something together. And as the last ball vanished into the pipe, the tower below collapsed, returning the remaining goo to the earth, waiting for the next time the world needed to reach for the stars.
They zipped through the cold metal veins of the world, leaving behind the green hills and the wind. They didn't know where they were going. They didn't know that the "World of Goo Corporation" was turning them into beauty cream, or electricity, or fuel for a digital sunrise.
"Just a little further," the collective pulse seemed to whisper. World of Goo
A single Goo Ball rolled toward its neighbor. They fused, forming a sturdy base on the grass. A third Goo Ball climbed atop them, stretching its gelatinous body until it clicked into place, creating a tripod. They were no longer just blobs; they were architecture. The tower began to grow.
As the tower reached toward the sky, the wind picked up. The Goo Balls shivered, their black eyes wide as the ground fell away. They passed through a layer of white mist and saw others of their kind—green ones that could be detached and moved, and translucent ones that floated like balloons. They only knew that they had built something together
They were simple creatures. When one touched another, they bonded with a satisfying squelch .
The tip of the tower neared the mouth of a massive, vacuum-sealed pipe. It roared with a mechanical hunger. With one final, desperate stretch, the topmost Goo Ball was sucked into the darkness. Then another. And another. They didn't know where they were going
With every new addition, the structure groaned and swayed. The Goo Balls at the bottom felt the weight of their brothers, their round faces squishing under the pressure. Yet, they held firm. They were driven by the "World of Goo Corporation," a distant, unseen force that promised that every ball collected was a ball put to good use.
