Salvo and Valentino were the most reliable TV technicians in their small Sicilian town. Salvo was a true-crime fanatic, convinced that life mirrored his favourite detective shows. Valentino, on the other hand, just wanted to fix wires, drink his espresso, and avoid trouble at all costs.

Over the next hour, police flooded the apartment. Valentino and Salvo stood perfectly still in the closet, sweating profusely. Every time a floorboard creaked, their hearts skipped a beat. Salvo realized that trying to outsmart a bad situation by hiding it only makes the hole twice as deep.
